India, Sept. 3 -- Janmashtami 2026 Travel Advisory: Devotees planning to visit Mathura and Vrindavan for Krishna Janmashtami on Friday, September 4, should prepare for major traffic restrictions, route diversions and parking changes. Authorities have introduced a special traffic plan to manage the expected rush around Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir and other major religious sites.

The restrictions are in effect from 8 AM on September 3 to 9 AM on September 5. Several roads approaching Mathura's temple areas have vehicle restrictions, while parts of Vrindavan will also see diversions and controlled entry. Devotees travelling by car should check the designated parking locations before starting their journey.
