India, May 21 -- Fresh snowfall seen in the higher regions of Jammu and Kashmir, in the Gurez sector, Sonamarg and areas of Zojila axis. Along with this, massive rainfall washed away many parts of the Kashmir Valley and plains of Jammu as temperatures went down sharply after weeks of high temperatures. Heavy rain and thunderstorms in the late hours of Wednesday night also triggered waterlogging and mudflow in parts of Bandipora district. There were reports of minor damage in roads and entry of rain water in houses of low lying areas.
