India, July 24 -- Jammu & Kashmir School Holiday Today (July 24): Alerts for heavy rains in various parts of India have caused concern among students and their parents about holiday declarations from schools. The IMD has predicted spells of rain, storms, and strong winds in Jammu & Kashmir on July 24. Nevertheless, there are no reports of any statewide directive issued by the government for closing down of schools or colleges in Jammu & Kashmir till now. Decision regarding holidays would be taken according to the condition in the district after considering weather conditions and safety of people. As per the IMD statistics, about 75% of annual rainfall in India is received during southwest monsoons.
