India, Sept. 26 -- Indian boxer Jadumani Singh Mandengbam will face the Philippines' Carlo Paalam in the men's 55kg Round of 16 at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya on Saturday, September 26 at the Nishio Gymnasium.

Jadumani enters the contest after a confident opening-round performance. The Indian boxer defeated Nepal's Chandra Bahadur Thapa 5-0 in his first bout of the competition to book his place in the Round of 16.

Standing in his way is Paalam, an experienced Filipino boxer and a Tokyo Olympics silver medallist.

India has entered the Asian Games boxing competition with an 11-member squad comprising six men and five women.
