India, July 6 -- The Supreme Court of Israel recently made a divisive ruling about the country's broadcast regulator. Now, the Benjamin Netanyahu led cabinet has decided to defy it, after an internal vote.

Israeli Government's Big Rebellion

This morning, the cabinet ministers of Israel decided to hold an internal meeting and vote over the Supreme Court's latest ruling over the Second Authority for Television and Radio.

At the end, the cabinet voted overwhelmingly against the ruling. Though clashes between the government and judiciary have happened in the past, such a public incident, where the government openly defies a ruling is rare in Israel.
