India, Aug. 20 -- President Donald Trump's administration has notified Congress that it will provide more than $206 million to help establish a proposed international peacekeeping force for Gaza, marking the first substantial funding commitment behind a stalled White House plan to stabilise and rebuild the war-shattered territory.

Two notifications dated July 30 and reviewed by Reuters show the State Department informed Congress it would direct $200 million toward equipment, infrastructure, vehicles and operational costs for the International Stabilisation Force, along with a further $6 million to repurpose US armoured vehicles in support of the mission.
