India, May 9 -- Indian Cricket Team T20I Captain: Sanju Samson is set to become the new T20I captain of the Indian cricket team. The wicketkeeper was named the player of the series in the T20 World Cup 2026 earlier this year. Suryakumar Yadav, who led the Men in Blue to a historic third title, could be replaced owing to his poor batting form. Earlier, it was reported that Shreyas Iyer would be replacing Suryakumar; however, with him not being part of the team in the shortest format for more than two years, he could be out of the running.
