India, May 12 -- Isn't it scary that someone collects your data without your permission? It becomes even more terrifying when someone keeps an eye on your children's activity. This is what Netflix is allegedly doing, according to a lawsuit filed by Texas.
Texas has sued the streaming giant Netflix for allegedly collecting data from children and adults in the US state without consent. The lawsuit also mentions that the OTT platform uses this data for addictive design to keep users hooked.
The Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton, accused the streaming giant of spying on citizens. He said Netflix records and monetises billions of pieces of information about how users behave on the platform.
