India, Aug. 11 -- Afghanistan secured their berth at the 2027 ODI World Cup after beating Ireland by three wickets in Belfast. Chasing 207 in the third ODI, Afghanistan survived a late collapse before Rashid Khan produced a composed finish to take his side over the line. The all-rounder remained unbeaten on 37 from 43 balls as Afghanistan reached 207/7 in 44.5 overs.

The result gave Afghanistan a 2-0 lead in the five-match ODI series and confirmed their direct qualification for the next World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
