India, July 24 -- Irish police (Gardai) have intercepted what they described as an "extremely significant" car bomb near the Northern Ireland border, preventing what authorities say could have caused extensive damage and potentially saved lives. The explosive device was discovered during an intelligence-led operation targeting dissident republican activity in County Monaghan, leading to the arrest of a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s.
