India, July 15 -- The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) launched a major upgrade to its ticket-booking website on July 15 (Wednesday). The main motive of updating the website is to make train reservations faster, smoother, and more user-friendly. The Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced the revamp after students raised concerns about the existing portal during an event at MNIT Jaipur. Among the key issues highlighted was the inconvenience caused by repeated CAPTCHA verification, especially during Tatkal bookings. The upgraded platform is designed to address these challenges with improved performance, a cleaner interface, and several passenger-centric features.
