India, May 3 -- Amid the looming jet fuel crisis worsened due to the Iran war, the airlines in the UK have been cleared to axe thousands of flights, leaving the summer holidays in peril for travellers. The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has said that those who have planned a vacation may have to reconsider "where they go on."
His remarks came as the British government has moved to grant airlines unprecedented flexibility to cancel or consolidate flight schedules this summer, a preemptive strike aimed at preventing "departure gate chaos" as the Middle East conflict chokes global jet fuel supplies.
