India, March 25 -- Rising tensions in the Middle East disrupted maritime traffic again after Iranian forces stopped a Pakistan-bound container ship at the entrance of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. The incident highlights the growing risks to global shipping as conflict in the region continues to intensify.
The vessel, identified as SELEN, had departed from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and was heading toward Karachi in Pakistan. However, Iranian authorities halted its passage near the narrow waterway, forcing the ship to reverse course before entering the strait.
