India, March 12 -- Tensions in the Middle East intensified further after Iran launched missiles toward Israel early Thursday, triggering loud explosions over major cities, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The attack forced authorities to activate air defence systems and issue emergency alerts to civilians across central Israel.

The Israeli military confirmed that missiles were fired toward Israeli territory and that defence systems were immediately deployed to intercept them. Residents in several areas received urgent warnings on their mobile phones and were asked to move to safe shelters as the situation unfolded.
