India, May 26 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has cancelled his planned visit to New York after facing visa-related issues during travel preparations, according to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency. Because of the cancellation, Araghchi will no longer be able to attend the high-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

This comes at a time when talks between Iran and the United States are going on. Tehran has repeatedly accused Washington of changing its stand during negotiations aimed at reducing the tension between the two nations.
