India, Jan. 9 -- The Consulate General of Iran in Hyderabad said the situation in Iran is stable and fully under control. It assured that Indian citizens living in or visiting Iran are safe, according to an official statement.
The consulate said all security measures are in place to protect foreign nationals, including Indians, and there is no danger to their safety.
The statement referred to Article 27 of Iran's Constitution, which allows citizens to assemble and protest peacefully. It said the current protests, mainly driven by economic difficulties, are a legitimate right of the people.
