India, June 18 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are looking at a new window for the 2027 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Accordingly, the 10-team tournament is likely to begin earlier than it did in 2026, preferably as soon as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia ends. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia underlined that they are aiming for an early start due to heat concerns.
