India, Nov. 2 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the IPL 2027 retention deadline by two days, giving all 10 franchises additional time to finalise their retained and released player lists.

The deadline has moved from November 15 to November 17, while the IPL 2027 mini auction remains scheduled for December 16 in Goa.

The decision gives franchise management teams a little more time to assess their squads, negotiate possible trades and settle their retention plans ahead of the auction.

According to reports, the BCCI communicated the revised deadline to the franchises on November 2. The auction date and venue have not been changed.
