India, May 25 -- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ended their inconsistent IPL 2026 campaign with another defeat as the Delhi Capitals consigned them to a 40-run loss at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With that, the Capitals finished the season at sixth spot, taking 14 points, while the Knight Riders take the seventh spot. While the Capitals were already eliminated, the Knight Riders had a slight chance of qualifying for the playoffs ahead of the match but learned about their ouster after the toss at the Eden Gardens due to the Rajasthan Royals beating the Mumbai Indians.
