India, April 4 -- Punjab Kings sealed their second victory of the Indian Premier League 2026 season on Friday night at Chepauk, defeating five-time champions Chennai Super Kings by five wickets with eight balls to spare. PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with a 29-ball half-century, guiding his side to a successful chase. However, despite the win, Iyer landed in trouble with the BCCI as he was handed a hefty fine for a repeated breach of the IPL Code of Conduct due to a slow over-rate. This marked Punjab's second offence of the season, leading to penalties for the captain as well as the entire playing XI, including the Impact Player.
