India, April 24 -- The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 witnessed a historic "El Clasico" at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 23, 2026, but for all the wrong reasons for the home side. Mumbai Indians (MI) suffered their heaviest defeat in IPL history, a crushing 103-run hammering at the hands of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). After Sanju Samson powered CSK to a massive 207/6 with a breathtaking unbeaten 101, MI's chase was derailed instantly by Akeal Hosein, who finished with figures of 4/17.
