India, Aug. 13 -- The popular social media platform Instagram has modified its wordmark for the first time after almost ten years, though the public response seems to be more "Instagzam?" than "modern and polished." The new wordmark design, which debuted on August 13, 2026, has maintained a handwritten appearance but featured some changes to give a more sophisticated and organized letterform.

According to Instagram's chief Adam Mosseri, the decision to redesign the logo had been made as the wordmark stayed the same for 10 long years. The significance of the move is obvious while Instagram had hit 3 billion monthly active users in September 2025 from 2 billion in 2022.
