India, Sept. 6 -- Indonesia Volcanic Eruption Today: Budiarto Airport in Curug, Tangerang, is temporarily closed today as volcanic ash from the ongoing Mount Anak Krakatau eruption affects aviation operations across western Indonesia. Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the airport's operating closure was extended until 1:30 p.m. WIB under NOTAM C1079/26 and NOTAMR C1076/26.

The disruption is part of a wider aviation shutdown affecting airports in the Greater Jakarta and Lampung regions. Authorities are monitoring the movement of volcanic ash and coordinating with airport operators, airlines, air navigation services and Indonesia's meteorological agency.
