India, Sept. 2 -- India Weather Today (September 2): India is witnessing another spell of active monsoon weather on Wednesday, September 2, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting heavy rainfall across several parts of the country. Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and parts of eastern India are among the regions facing rain and thunderstorm alerts. The weather agency has warned of very heavy rain in Uttarakhand on September 2, while heavy rainfall is also expected in several other states. Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain alert, particularly where heavy rain could lead to waterlogging, flooding, landslides or travel disruptions.
