India, June 16 -- Widespread rainfall is expected across several parts of India over the coming days as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts thunderstorms, light to moderate rain, and gusty winds in multiple states across northwest and central India. The monsoon is likely to make further progress into parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, and south Chhattisgarh over the next four to five days.
