India, Nov. 1 -- Tim Seifert's explosive 93 off 50 balls and Glenn Phillips' unbeaten 65 powered New Zealand to a seven-wicket victory over India in the fifth and final T20I at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on Sunday. Chasing the target, the hosts produced a commanding batting display, with Seifert setting the pace before Phillips guided the innings past the finish line.

Despite the defeat, India finished the five-match series with a 3-2 win. Phillips also capped his impressive run by taking his tally to 341 runs, surpassing Phil Salt's record for the most runs scored in a bilateral T20I series.
