India, Nov. 4 -- India will begin their five-match ODI series against New Zealand with the opening encounter at Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday, November 4. The visitors head into the 50-over leg after clinching the preceding T20I series 3-2, although defeats in the final two matches will give them plenty to work on. Led by Shubman Gill for the first three ODIs, India will welcome back experienced batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, with both expected to play important roles as the team builds towards the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup. Shreyas Iyer will take over the captaincy for the final two matches, while Gill is expected to miss those games to prepare for India's upcoming World Test Championship assignments.

New Zealand, meanwhile...
