India, Sept. 20 -- India's women's badminton team will begin its Asian Games 2026 campaign against Kazakhstan in the Round of 16 on Sunday, September 20. The tie will be played at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium, with PV Sindhu, Unnati Hooda and Tanvi Sharma leading India's singles lineup.

India have named a 10-member squad for the competition, with Sindhu bringing major experience to a team that also includes several young players.

The Indian squad features PV Sindhu, Unnati Hooda, Tanvi Sharma, Isharani Baruah, Devika Sihag, Gayatri Gopichand Pullela, Treesa Jolly, Kavipriya Selvam, Simran Singhi and Tanisha Crasto.

The Round of 16 tie will feature three singles matches and two doubles matches.
