India, July 24 -- While Team India remains in Zimbabwe for a T20I series, a landmark development has come to light. The Afghanistan national cricket team is reportedly set to host the Men in Blue in a T20I series in New Delhi. The two teams will play three matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in September. Though the series will be held in India, Afghanistan will be the official host, a report by Cricinfo claimed. However, neither the BCCI nor the Afghanistan Cricket Board has yet announced the series.

This is not the first time that Afghanistan would be playing home matches on Indian soil. Earlier, they hosted other teams in Lucknow, Dehradun and Greater Noida, but this time, they will be facing India, which has never happened before.
