India, June 2 -- In an SUV-dominated market, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire continues to prove that the sedan story in India is far from over. The compact sedan has emerged as India's best-selling passenger vehicle (PV) in May 2026. It has recorded sales of 24,546 units and further strengthened its position as India's most successful car model this year. This comes after Dzire topped the April 2026 sales chart as well and finished FY26 as the highest-selling passenger vehicle, which underlines its enduring popularity among Indian consumers.
