India, March 29 -- India may have as little as two years to prepare for the impact of quantum computing on cybersecurity, with fewer than 10% of its critical systems currently secure against such a threat, according to Sunil Gupta, co-founder and chief executive of QNu Labs.
The Bengaluru-based QNu Labs is currently among the pillars of the "Atmanirbhar Bharat" mission, providing homegrown encryption that eliminates reliance on foreign hardware. The firm has operationalised 500 km-plus intercity quantum networks, or ultra-secure communication links that use quantum physics, placing India in an elite global bracket.
