India, Sept. 26 -- Opposition parties belonging to the INDIA bloc are likely to meet in New Delhi on September 30 to discuss their concerns regarding the Election Commission of India (ECI), Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, according to reports.

The proposed meeting comes as opposition parties increase coordination over the Election Commission and the SIR exercise. Reports about objections raised by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi on certain decisions related to electoral-roll management have added to the political debate.
