India, Aug. 15 -- The streets of Anand echoed with patriotic slogans on Thursday evening as more than ten thousand citizens, youth, and public officials gathered for a massive Tiranga Yatra celebrating the milestone of India's eightieth Independence Day. Organised jointly by the Anand District Administration and the Karamsad-Anand Municipal Corporation as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, the procession turned the city's main thoroughfares into a magnificent spectacle of saffron, white, and green.
