India, Oct. 24 -- Team India pulled off a remarkable late comeback to defeat New Zealand by four wickets in the second T20I at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday, October 24. Coming to chase 181, the Men in Blue recovered from a precarious position to seal victory with one ball remaining and take a commanding 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

Tilak Varma emerged as India's hero with an unbeaten 51 off 26 balls, while Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed an unbeaten 26 off 13 deliveries. The pair stitched a match-winning seventh-wicket partnership after India slipped to 112/6 in the 15th over.

New Zealand, meanwhile, were left ruing a missed opportunity despite Mitchell Santner's impressive four-wicket haul.
