India, Sept. 2 -- India's preparations for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand could see the team management place greater emphasis on building depth in the pace-bowling department. With the final squad yet to be announced, reports suggest that the selectors are considering a five-member group of specialist fast bowlers for the series.

The proposed pace attack is expected to feature a mix of experienced campaigners and younger bowlers still looking to establish themselves in Test cricket. Having five specialist pacers would also give India greater flexibility to experiment with different combinations and identify the most effective attack for the series, which begins on November 19.
