India, Sept. 21 -- The Indian men's cricket team will take on Japan in a historic one-off T20I at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Sano, Kanto, Japan, on Tuesday, September 22. The contest will mark the first-ever senior men's T20I meeting between the two teams.

The IND vs JAP T20I will be played under the Suzuki Cup banner and is part of sporting exchanges between the two countries as India and Japan celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations. The match will also serve as an important fixture ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026.
