India, June 5 -- Team India are set to host Afghanistan in a one-off Test starting on June 6 at the Maharaja Singh PCA Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. Shubman Gill will continue to lead India in the longest format, with KL Rahul being named his deputy, replacing previous vice-captain Rishabh Pant. Several senior players, including Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja, will not feature in the Test match against Afghanistan, which is also not part of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
