India, Sept. 13 -- Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah announced his return to international cricket in grand style on Sunday by removing Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz for a duck in the first Twenty20 International at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

After Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to field first in the series opener, Bumrah took the new ball and produced an unplayable delivery on just the second ball of the opening over. Gurbaz mistimed an attacking stroke outside off stump, handing India an early breakthrough in front of an ecstatic home crowd.
