India, Aug. 26 -- Jasprit Bumrah has lost his position at the top of the ICC Test bowling rankings, with Australia's Mitchell Starc moving into No.1 for the first time in his career. Starc's outstanding performances against Bangladesh, where he was named Player of the Series, played a major role in his rise to the summit.
Bumrah had held the top ranking for much of the past two years after first reaching No.1 in February 2024. However, his absence from India's ongoing World Test Championship series against Sri Lanka, combined with Starc's recent form, has resulted in a change at the top of the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings.
