India, May 30 -- A tragic road accident in Hungary has left one person dead, and more than two dozen injured after a bus carrying young athletes crashed early Saturday morning while travelling to a sports competition in Budapest.

The incident took place around 5:20 a.m. near Hird, when the bus reportedly veered into the opposite lane before hitting a tree, according to local police. The team was travelling for the second round of a national event expected to bring together youth athletes from across the country.
