India, Aug. 14 -- The FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 will commence on 15th August, where Belgium and the Netherlands will act as hosts for the men and women's tournaments. Both tournaments involve 16 teams, making this one of the biggest editions of the championship. India is participating in the men's pool D tournament along with England, Pakistan and Wales, while the women's team will play alongside China, England and South Africa.

Hockey India has announced the date of the men's tournament from 15th to 30th August, with the women's tournament also being arranged in the same countries.
