Recently, the Himachal Pradesh government's Ministry of Earth Sciences activated flash flood alerts for 9 districts in the state. Meanwhile the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) extended the red alert for 3 districts in the Himalayan state, which indicates very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.
