India, Oct. 22 -- Harry Brook has rewritten the history of England's one-day international cricket with a breathtaking 202 against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 22, 2026. The England captain became the first English batter to score a double-century in men's ODIs, reaching the milestone in just 114 balls before finishing with 202 off 116 deliveries. His innings featured 21 fours and 10 sixes.

Brook also broke Shubman Gill's record for the fastest double-century in men's ODI cricket. Gill had taken 145 balls to score 200 against New Zealand in 2023. Brook's achievement ended Ben Stokes' reign as England's highest individual ODI scorer.
