India, Oct. 2 -- Halle Berry has found herself at the centre of a new controversy after her ex-husband Olivier Martinez alleged that the actress physically abused their 12-year-old son, Maceo. Martinez made the allegations in a court filing that seeks a temporary restraining order against Berry. He claimed that she grabbed their son by the neck and choked him during an alleged September 26 incident.

Following the filing, a Los Angeles County judge granted a temporary restraining order that covers both Martinez and Maceo and temporarily modified Berry's visitation with their son. Berry has denied the allegations through her attorney, who called the filing "entirely meritless and deliberately misleading."
