India, Sept. 12 -- Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's much-awaited reunion has finally arrived in theatres, but Haiwaan has had a slow start at the box office. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film earned around Rs 3 crore nett in India on its opening day, according to Sacnilk. The film recorded approximately 11 per cent occupancy across 7,224 shows on Day 1.

Its estimated India gross stood at around Rs 3.60 crore, while the overseas gross was approximately Rs 1 crore. This puts Haiwaan's worldwide opening-day gross at around Rs 4.60 crore.
