India, Aug. 31 -- Rockstar Games has made two important GTA 6 commitments ahead of the game's November 19 launch: the single-player game will not use generative AI, and players will not be able to spend real-world money inside the game at launch.

The clarification comes directly from Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson during a preview visit by Kinda Funny Games to the studio's Edinburgh headquarters.

GTA 6 will still use traditional game AI to control traffic, pedestrians, police behaviour and other systems. What Rockstar has ruled out is generative AI being used to create the game's content.
