India, July 16 -- Grand Theft Auto VI launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S has been confirmed on November 19, 2026, but the Rockstar Games has yet to announce the release date and update for a PC version. The absence of a PC release has disappointed many fans, especially since previous Rockstar titles eventually arrived on the platform.

Now, former Rockstar Games producer John Ricchio has explained why the studio traditionally launches its biggest games on consoles first, saying the approach makes development more efficient and allows developers to optimise performance before expanding to PC.
