India, Sept. 2 -- Rockstar Games has shared an important update about Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its November 19, 2026 release. The studio has said that generative AI was not used to create the game's content. It has also indicated that players will not have to make real-money purchases inside the game at launch.

The information comes from Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson during a recent studio visit by Kinda Funny Games. When asked whether generative AI had been used in GTA 6, Nelson reportedly replied, "No AI." He also said there would be "No monetization" when asked about spending real-world money within the game.
