India, Sept. 24 -- Gizmo is finally set to return to the big screen but fans will have to wait longer than expected for the next chapter of the Gremlins franchise. Warner Bros. has pushed Gremlins 3 from its previously announced November 19, 2027 release date to October 6, 2028. This has delayed the long awaited sequel by almost a year.

The studio announced the new date alongside a brief teaser that gives fans their first look at Gizmo's return. The footage shows the beloved Mogwai tucked inside a backpack but Warner Bros. is still keeping the bigger details surrounding the film under wraps.
