India, Aug. 10 -- Greenland will become one of the most dramatic places on Earth to watch the August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse, as the Moon's shadow sweeps across the Arctic landscape. While much of Greenland will experience a deep partial eclipse, parts of the remote north will fall close to or directly inside the narrow path of totality.

The eclipse will arrive during the afternoon and early evening across Greenland, with the exact experience changing significantly from one location to another. Nuuk will see a substantial partial eclipse, while eastern and northeastern Greenland will experience much deeper coverage. Station Nord will witness the Moon completely cover the Sun for a brief period.
